Simple skinny jeans pattern

  • Say goodbye to frustration with ill-fitting store-bought jeans, and hello to cozy-yet-alluring Simple Skinny Jeans. Never sewn a pair of trousers before? Not to worry, the pattern is deceptively easy.  Thanks to the super-forgiving fit and a knit elastic waistband you won’t have to fret about fitting these jeans. With functioning patch pockets in the back and faux front pockets and fly, you can whip these up in a day.

  • FABRICS

2-1/4 yards 44-45” midweight, woven cotton spandex blend (We love stretch denim, which is a woven fabric with a bit of stretch to it, not a knit fabric. You can, however, use a mid- to heavy-weight knit to make a pair of leggings if you want - just omit the pockets and stitch details)

    NOTIONS

1/4 yard medium- to heavy-weight interlock or rib knit (for waistband)
    1-1/2” wide non-roll elastic
    Twin needle (4.0 width)
